On June 14th the Association of Young Economists of Georgia held the workshop meeting with the Kazbegi LAG members in the Kazbegi Youth Centre.
The aim of the meeting was to discuss the rural development issues considering the specific of the region and Kazbegi municipality and also to identify important priorities and directions for the rural development strategy regional chapters.
The project team at the meeting presented the key priorities of the rural development and through facilitating the discussion the revealed the key priorities for the region and Kazbegi. The Kazbegi LAG members also assessed the implemented and ongoing state programs and projects for rural development.
The participants underlined that the region and respectively Kazbegi has a great economic and yet untapped potential for rural growth and development, which has to be considered while identifying the strategic priorities and initiating rural development programs.
The meeting was held in the scopes of the UNDP project “Support to Rural Development Policy in Georgia”.
