“Civic participation and inclusive policy-making mechanisms are established and/or improved in the 6 regions of Georgia and target 13 municipalities, Enhanced accountability and participatory policy-making at local level through strengthened capacities of CSOs and improved collaboration between LAs and CSOs for participatory decision/policy making”… - the incomplete list of the achieved outcomes in the frames of the project “Empowered civil society for good governance”, together with the challenges encountered in the process of development of the inclusive policy-making were discussed at the workshop meeting by the Civil Society Organizations’ and the Civil Advisory Boards’ representatives.

"The inclusive policy making and civil engagement in the decision making process" workshop meeting was held on the 17th of January 2020 - 18th of January 2020 in Bakuriani. The aim of the meeting was to reveal and discuss the challenges of the civil participation and citizens’ engagement forms in the inclusive policy-making process and decision making practices on the local level.

At the workshop meeting there had been discussed: the Civil Advisory Board and the citizens’ engagement mechanisms; capacity of local civil society organizations - financial, technical and required qualifications; the process of inclusive policy making and the development of decision-making practices; Existing social services tailored to the needs of vulnerable and marginalized groups; Existing awareness of corporate social responsibility and volunteering.

The workshop meeting, was implemented in the frames of the EU funded project “EMPOWERED CIVIL SOCIETY FOR GOOD GOVERNANCE”, which is implemented in partnership with the World Vision Georgia and Georgian Association of Social Workers.
