The 2 day business trainings were conducted for the women entrepreneurs and members of the self-help groups in the villages Magharoskari and Shukruti by the AYEG, on the 24th – 28th of January 2015.
The aim of the training was to increase the business skills of the participants for starting up and developing the private business in future. The 23 participants have attended the trainings in Magharoskari and 22 women in Shukruti.
The trainings were held according to the AYEG internal standards, which includes the use of integrated teaching technique experiential learning.
The training participants were provided with the opportunity to answer the trainer’s questions and participate in the discussions and based on this to approach the logical answers themselves, which was fulfilled by the trainer.
Each training module included the practical exercises, which was implemented either by groups of the participants or individually. The women got involved in the activities, performed analysis and assessment, and received results were used in the practical exercises.
As a result the participants have drafted the business plan templates. Women received the Certificates “Woman in Business”.
AYEG plans to provide the business consultations for the training participants in order to assist them in starting and developing the private entrepreneurial activity.
The trainings are conducted in the scopes of the project “Women as agents for change and empowerment”, which is being implemented by the Women Information Centre, by the USAID financial support, in partnership with Association of Young Economists of Georgia, “Taso” foundation, Institute for War and Peace Reporting and the local NGO from Gali.
