Association of Young Economists of Georgia is implementing a grant project “Economic Empowerment of Young Rural Women”.
The final goal of the project is empowerment and the creation of livelihoods for disadvantaged rural young women through their skills development.
In order to support rural economic opportunities training sessions will be developed and delivered for at least 160 young women. Training attendees will be able to receive direct mentorship support for business development and information about their business funding through various sources.
Project target municipalities are: Tetritskaro, Kazbegi, Dedoplistskaro and Lagodekhi
Project target group covers: rural young women aged 18-24, including vulnerable groups: minorities, people with disabilities, IDPs, etc.
The grant proposal is supported within the project “Improving Rural Development in Georgia” implemented by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), with the financial assistance of European Union through the European Neighbourhood Programme for Agriculture and Rural Development.
