The aim of the project:

To ensure transparency of budget and off-budget activities of self-government structures of the Kutaisi city, and decrease the level of corruption. Also to promote the environment under which the interests and requirements of citizens will be considered by local authorities.

In the scopes of the project the monitoring and analysis of 2005-2006 budget process of the city of Kutaisi were conducted; concrete corruption cases were revealed and respective measures were taken; a certain part of population received the information about monitoring public institutions and budget processes. A short-term anticorruption plan has been developed, that was further used as a guidebook by the elected self-government bodies. Information data-base has been developed in the frames of the project, which significantly assisted the self-government authorities in analyzing situations existed in previous years.
