The aim of the project:
To develop sustainable monitoring scheme for the State Social Assistance Program, through facilitating joint state-civil society participatory monitoring of the State Social Assistance Program.
In the scopes of the project the quantitative survey of the 1100 families receiving the social assistance aid in Adjara A.R. region was conducted in two phases in Summer and Winter. During quantitative survey the families named the poorest households in the community. 300, the most frequently named families, were researched out of the 697 named families. The surveys revealed the social assistance program implementation process and qualitative related problems. The special trainings for the social agents was conducted In Adjara region, where the representatives of Social Subsidy actively participated.
The workshop -“Participatory Monitoring in Georgia” - was held. The meeting participants were the partner organizations of OXFAM - Representation of Georgia. The main discussed issue of the workshop was the participatory monitoring implementation methods, and types of NGO sand State Sector partnership.
During the project implementation series of workshops and discussion meetings with the participation of the Social Subsidy Agency, Ministry of Labor, Healthcare and Social Security were conducted.
At the end of the project a report – “Participatory monitoring of the State Social Assistance Program in Adjara A.R. region” on the results and findings of the conducted surveys was published.
