The aim of the project:

To support NEO Project target communities in the elaboration of the local economic development plans. The aim of the technical assistance is to identify perspective economic sectors, to develop infrastructural priorities for the projects, facilitating public-private dialogue, and to attract the additional investments for the implementation of the community priority projects.

Implemented activities:

55 economic development plans (EDPs) were elaborated (25 in west and 30 in east Georgia) in 9 municipalities. EDPs include the development priorities and projects in 4 key sectors: Agriculture; Non-agricultural business; Infrastructure; and Social sector.

Project beneficiaries: The representatives of the local, regional and central government;community working and focus group members;donor organizations; community members; implementer partners; and private sector representatives.
