On February 27, the Imereti branch of the Association of Young Economists of Georgia held a summary event of the project "Effective corporate governance for employment", where the results of the conducted research were presented: "Corporate reporting system in Georgia - evaluation of Obligations undertaken under the association agreement with European Union and the implementation of Georgian legislation in the regard".

The participants of the meeting were also presented with an information bulletin prepared within the project: "The importance of corporate governance and the corporate reporting system in Georgia".

The discussion was held with the participation of the professional community and private sector representatives, about the challenges facing the introduction of a modern effective corporate management system in Georgia and the opportunities that the introduction of such a system creates for business development, the creation of additional jobs and, ultimately, the improvement of public welfare.

The project is funded by the European Union and the Konrad Adenauer Foundation, the Civil Society Initiative: Sustainable, Open and Accountable Civil Society Organizations for the Development of Georgia. The project is implemented by a consortium led by the Konrad Adenauer Foundation (KAS), together with the following non-governmental organizations - Center for Strategic Research and Development of Georgia (CSRDG), Civil Society Institute (CSI), Counseling and Training Center (CTC), Education, Development and Employment Center (EDEC) , and the Institute for European Policy (IEP).
