The aim of the project:
To analyze the situation at the customs offices of the Caucasian countries in order to promote transparency at the regional customs.
In the scopes of the project was developed a detailed analytical report about the existing situation at the customs’ system of the South Caucasus countries (Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan). The legislative and statistical analysis of the export-import was conducted. Three regional meetings took place with the participation of the Georgian, Armenian and Azerbaijanian experts, local businessmen and the representatives of the state structures. 1200 individuals and businessmen were interviewed within the framework of this project to identify the customs border crossing problems and the causes of their origin.
