Women as Agents for Change and Empowerment

The AYEG has started to implement the 2 year project "Women as Agents for Change and Empowerment" in partnership with Women Information Centre, “Taso” foundation, Institute for War and Peace Reporting and the local NGO from Gali, by the USAID financial support, aiming to support women’s full participation in Political, Economic and Peace building and Conflict Prevention Processes in Georgia in the target regions.

The aim of the project is to support women’s political participation, enhanced economic engagement and self-sustainability of women through community mobilization and based on the conducted baseline studies in the target regions.

In the scopes of enhancing economic engagement and self-sustainability of women AYEG plans to:

 

  • Provide grassroots rural, internally displaced, conflict affected and national minority women capacity building on the economic issues and support the employment;
  • Conduct the baseline and end line studies to identify the women needs and priorities for business planning and management;
  • Organize the forum on women’s economic participation and provide women entrepreneurs access to market.
