Davit Narmania

David Narmania is a Mayor of Tbilisi and Full Professor at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University. In 2012-2014 he was Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia. In 2009-2012 he was Executive Director of Caucasian Institute for Economic and Social Research (CIESR). In 2008-2009 Mr. Narmania was the Head of Research Department at “Consulting and Analytical Training-Center”. In 2007-2009 he was Full Professor of Public Finance Management at Georgian Institute of Public Affairs (GIPA). In 2006-2007 he was Head of The Board at the “Association of Young Economists”. In 2004-2005 Mr. Narmania was General Director of “Business Consulting Group”. In 2001-2003 he was senior specialist and secretary of the Advisory Council of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia and Tax Revenue Ministry of Georgia. In 2001-2002 he was expert of USAID contractor organization - the Urban Institute. In 1999-2000 Mr. Narmania was a chairman of faculty - students and post-graduate students union and member of Scientific Council of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University. Mr. Narmania is author of the 24 scientific researches and co-author of the 34 scientific studies, also participant of 21 conferences (7 International), organizer of 3 conferences.
